Survivors Therapy

Intensive Home-Based Therapy (IHB)

Hands-on support to children and their families.

Short-term, team based service, that provides focused hands-on support to children and their families – right in the comfort of their own homes. What sets IHB apart, is that the therapy takes place where their families live, making it more personal, convenient, and effective. This approach allows the therapy team to better understand the family’s day-to-day environment and tailor support to their unique needs.

Therapeutic Mentoring

Providing encouragement and nurturing.

Therapeutic mentoring is a supportive service designed to help individuals, specifically youth, navigate life’s challenges. Mentors offer guidance, encouragement, and motivation. They use their own life experiences to connect with clients in a meaningful way, fostering trust and understanding, and providing a support system outside of friends and family.

Parent Education Class

Understanding seasonal depression and combating anxious thoughts.

This session helps parents recognize early signs of depression in children and teens—such as changes in mood, sleep, behavior, school performance, and social withdrawal. Parents will learn how depression can increase the risk of suicidal thoughts, what warning signs may indicate immediate concern, and how to respond with support, open communication, and appropriate professional help. The class also provides guidance on creating a safe home environment, reducing stigma around mental health, and partnering with schools and healthcare providers to keep kids safe.

Community Presentations & School Assemblies

Raising awareness for all our young people.

Our assemblies are designed to help students understand warning signs, and to encourage them to speak up if they or someone they know is struggling. We want to empower young people to reach out for help, and to offer help when they see a friend in need. By sharing our story (Zachary’s story), we hope to honor his memory and prevent other families from experiencing the pain of losing a loved one to suicide. We aim to create a community of support. Where no one has to struggle in silence. To ensure that every student knows they are not alone, and that help is always available.
